What this organisation does

Erskine Veterans Charity is Scotland's leading veterans' charity and has been supporting former servicemen and women since 1916. The charity provides a range of care, housing, wellbeing and community support services for veterans and, in some cases, their spouses and families.
Although Erskine's primary focus is military veterans, some seafarers and fishers may also be veterans of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Merchant Navy with military service connections, or other Armed Forces backgrounds. Those individuals and their families may wish to explore whether Erskine's services are suitable for their circumstances.

Who can use the service

Erskine's services are designed primarily for:
  • Military veterans living in Scotland.
  • Former servicemen and women from a variety of backgrounds and service histories.
  • Veterans requiring residential care, supported accommodation, assisted living, community support or wellbeing services.
  • In some services, spouses of eligible veterans.
Eligibility varies depending on the service being accessed. Applicants should contact Erskine directly to confirm individual eligibility requirements.

Home Support

Erskine's Home Support service delivers assistance directly within a veteran's own home, helping individuals remain independent while receiving practical and personal support.
